Editor (English, French, German)

Job Description;
We are looking for new team members who can translate and edit in English<=>Turkish, French<=>Turkish, German<=>Turkish language pairs and who have the following qualifications:

  • BA in Translation and Interpreting, Translation Studies or Philology,
  • Translation and editing skills in the above languages pairs,
  • At least 2 years of similar full-time professional work experience in translation companies,
  • Exceptionally skilled in editing processes to make the necessary corrections to deliver accurate and quality translations with a customer-oriented approach,
  • Fulfills requirements of translation quality standards and executes the control process consistently and efficiently,
  • Excellent command of spelling and grammar rules of the source and target languages
  • An eye for detail, sense of responsibility, exceptional time-management skills
  • Good teamwork skills
  • Good command of MS Office Programs,
  • Can preferably use programs such as SDL Trados, Memsource etc.

Proofreader

Requirements

We are looking for a new member to work as a Proofreader in our Head Office in Istanbul. The proofreader, a native speaker of the target language (English) to which the text has been translated and edited, will be tasked with a final reading of the texts to provide the following: checking linguistic coherence, grammar, spelling, punctuation, terminology etc., ensuring fluency, making necessary corrections, providing Project Management, Production Department and Quality Control with feedback.

  • Native level language skills with a BA in Translation and Interpreting, Translation Studies or Philology, Foreign Languages and Literature,
  • Has more than one specialty, able to check complicated texts on a wide range of topics,
  • Excellent command of spelling and grammar rules and jargon in the English language,
  • Experience in the translation industry, preferably with at least 2 years of experience,
  • Can use programs such as SDL Trados, CAT etc.
  • Aware of the need for quality, speed, and excellent timing with a customer oriented approach,
  • Good teamwork skills,
  • An eye for detail, sense of responsibility,
  • Good command of French or German (asset)

Job Description;

  • Reading knowledge of the source language, independently of the target language and checking of grammar, spelling, punctuation, idioms, jargons etc.
  • Follows customer instructions when performing checks and making corrections,
  • Improves on customer instructions and the being dictionary used, where necessary
  • Provides feedback to translators or editors on inaccuracies or style to improve the quality of future projects,
  • Checks whether the translated text represents the source text fully and accurately,
  • Checks with customers to clarify any ambiguities or ambivalences in the source text,
  • Analyses the project, delivers it within the deadline and offers an assessment of the steps followed during the project, reports to the quality manager,
  • Manages workflow, analyzes potential problems and participates in the solution process, provides feedback to the quality control manager.

Sales & Marketing Lead

Job Description and Requirements

Carrying out sales & marketing activities of products and services in line with the company’s strategic objectives in translation & localization and other areas it operates.

  • Establishing sales-marketing strategies to support the company strategy through sector analysis and benchmarking activities,
  • Analyzing customer needs, competition elements and product requirements in existing or new markets, creating opportunities, producing creative service and product solutions,
  • Setting targets in line with sales-marketing strategies, creating an annual sales and marketing plan and the budget,
  • Monitoring sales-marketing targets, preparing monthly and periodical reports on the basis of the realization of targets and budgeting, and analyzing them,
  • Carrying out marketing activities for company products and services.

Job Requirements

  • Graduate degree in Business Administration, Economics or Engineering,
  • MA degree in Marketing preferable,
  • 3 years of experience in sales-marketing, preferably in the field of FMCG or Technology,
  • Excellent command of English,
  • Advanced MS Office user,
  • Familiar with the translation industry,
  • Knowledgeable of technology and digital life,
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, as well as written and verbal communication.
